The O'Neill Assault USCG Vest is designed with an integrated lumbar support pad for extra stabilization on those long runs on the water. Exclusive Nytrolite Foam is designed to provide the same buoyancy with less bulk and weight. Anatomical flex points deliver comfort and performance. 100% polyester lining has super-strong overlock stitched seams. Features include strategic arm holes, segmented foam core, and a concealed dual belt system. USCG approved type III. O'Neill NytroLite Foam Technology
Exclusive Nytrolite Foam is more buoyant, 3 times lighter, drier, and offers better impact protection than conventional foam. An exclusive process expands low-density polyethylene using nitrogen. This creates a foam that is 3 times lighter than regular PVC foam. It also absorbs 15-20% less water due to the closed cell foam structure. The resulting foam is about 10% more buoyant than PVC, meaning there is less foam in the vest but with the same buoyancy.
